A Reflection: Elevate Her Women's Retreat

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”  1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)

What an amazing Women's Retreat! My heart is filled with gratitude as I reflect on the experience, the fellowship, the powerful messages, and the many reminders of who we are as daughters of God.

Throughout our time together, the story of Esther reminded us of something we sometimes forget in the busyness and challenges of life: We are royalty. We are women of worth, women of purpose, and women called by God. Our crowns are not defined by earthly titles, positions, or recognition, but by the One who created us and calls us His own.

This retreat gave us an opportunity to stop, pause, and reflect. To look beyond our everyday responsibilities and ask ourselves some important questions: Who am I becoming? What is God calling me to do? Am I walking in the dignity, confidence, and purpose that He has placed within me?

We arrived with different expectations, different hopes, and, yes, different baggage. Some of us came carrying burdens no one else could see. Some came seeking answers, others encouragement, healing, renewed strength, or simply a moment to breathe.

But what a blessing it was to be reminded through our speakers, our prayers, our worship, and our fellowship that whatever we are facing, we do not have to face it alone. Perhaps one of the greatest blessings was discovering that elevating ourselves is not something we have to do by ourselves.

When we talk about Elevate Her, we are talking about elevating each other. It means recognizing the worth in another woman, even when she may be struggling to recognize it in herself. It means extending grace instead of judgment, offering encouragement instead of criticism, and making room for another woman to grow, heal, and become who God has called her to be.

Esther did not walk into her purpose without preparation, prayer, or support. She had Mordecai to remind her of her calling, and she called upon others to fast with her. Her story reminds us that even when God gives us an individual assignment, we still need one another.

As we left the retreat, we carried more than memories. We carried a renewed understanding of our worth, our dignity, and our responsibility to one another.  We may not have left every burden behind. Some challenges were still waiting for us when we returned home. But we could return with a different mindset, knowing that God is able to strengthen us for whatever lies ahead.

Our crowns are reminders of whose we are. But wearing a crown also calls us to walk differently, with humility, compassion, courage, and dignity. How do we maintain that mindset? We stay prayed up, remain grounded in God's Word, encourage one another, and trust Him even when the road ahead is uncertain.

My prayer is that the spirit of this retreat does not remain in Florida. May it travel home with every woman, enter our churches, strengthen our families, enrich our friendships, and transform the way we treat one another.

Because Elevate Her is more than a retreat theme. It is a mindset, a responsibility, and an invitation to rise together. Let us never become so focused on adjusting our own crowns that we fail to notice a sister whose crown needs straightening.

When we know our worth in God, we can walk with dignity. And when we help another woman recognize hers, we elevate each other. "For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place..."  Esther 4:14 (KJV)

Pearl's Payer:

Father, thank You for the blessings of this retreat and for every woman who shared in this experience. Help us carry its lessons into our everyday lives. Remind us of our worth, strengthen us in Your Word, and teach us to lift one another with love and grace. May we walk with dignity, lead with compassion, and never forget that our greatest strength comes from You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I am the Vessel, God is the Grace.
